Why taking action creates success

"When you take action, you build the foundation for success."

Admit it! At some point in your life, you’ve been stuck.

There are decisions to make, but you don’t want to make them. Why? Because it is easier to stay comfortable by not taking action at all. The decision to act or not to act is freedom of choice that you alone can make.

We all make excuses. A great example I hear recently was from a colleague saying her “future self” could deal with the problem!

Unfortunately, tomorrow never comes, so you become happy with your lot - imperfect as that lot may be. Before you know it, you’re stuck in an infinite loop, scrolling through social media or spending hours gaming or watching TV.

Sound familiar? It’s time to break the loop and discover what standing (or sitting!) still is costing you - financially, physically and emotionally.

The first step is to ask yourself why you’re behaving this way, and what it will cost you if you continue to do so. Don’t wait for an emergency like an accident or health scare to startle you into action.

"Preventative action and repetition is key."

When I teach dance, I instruct my students on footwork, technique, frame and posture, moving to music and floor presence; but one thing above: Practice! Students who took the time to practice and prepare were more likely to progress to higher levels, achieving the success they’d set out to obtain.

When you take action, you build the foundation for success.
